A PROPOS DE MARK BOOMBASTIK

Fils unique d'une mère mineur de fond et de père inconnu, sans vrai contact social, le jeune Boombastik se replie sur lui-même. Son esprit vierge se retire alors dans un monde dominé par des boîtes à rythmes qu'il cherche sans cesse, dans quelques rares moments d'éveil, à perfectionner. Il y a maintenant 2 ans qu'il s'est révélé sur scène lors de performances proches de l'hystérie grâce à ses boîtes à rythmes mais aussi par son désir affiché d'être aimé. Porté par un nombre sans cesse croissant de fans, le petit Mark aime ensuite se retrouver dans sa loge avec une tasse de thé Earl Grey. Seul.

Born 1978 in Hamburg`s notorious "Schanzenviertel" started doing Human Beatbox in the age of 12 after his acoustic guitar broke into pieces because somebody stepped on it during a party at his flat... Improving his technic and style Mark Boombastik became the only experimental human beatboxer. Through the years he`s worked with a lot of different people, from Hamburg`s hip hop scene (Trainingslager,Fischmob) to electronic musicians (Hofoku Soshi, Funkstrung,Patric Catani) besides doing his own incredible live concerts all over Europe. " Since the whopper got stock in the throats of the Fat Boys in the middle of the 80s,nobody ever created such a thunderstorm of fat beats of all colours with his mouth." Mark Boombastik puts his very raw and tight beats through special analogic effects so that he creates his songs live. His pure intensity is equipped with an attitude that doesn`t leave no doubts .

Meanwhile Mark Boombastik lives in Berlin and is recording a new album with Tara Delong (NYC). In July `05 Anaerobic Robots ,his project with Felix Kubin and Jake, released a fabulous mini-album on Gagarin Records ( "Anearobic Robots" ,12").
