A la tête des deux ensembles pour guitares du compositeur RHYS CHATHAM, guitariste de FEBRUARY, DAVID DANIELL joue régulièrement en duo avec DOUG McCOMBS (TORTOISE) et a notamment collaboré avec THURSTON MOORE (SONIC YOUTH), DAVID GRUBBS (GASTR DEL SOL) ou LOREN MAZZACANE CONNORS pour ne citer qu'eux. Son dernier album, "Coastal" (sorti en 2006 sur Table of the Elements) est un chef-d'oeuvre ambiant quelque part entre BEXAR BEXAR et les productions du label KRANKY.

David Daniell is a composer and performer working in the intersections of acoustic and electronic instrumentation and of composition and improvisation. As a performer, Daniell utilizes acoustic, electric, and pedal steel guitar along with a variety of electronics. He has worked for over a decade as a member of the improvising blues-drone trio San Agustin, along with many other collaborators through the years, including Loren Connors, Rhys Chatham, Tim Barnes, Ateleia, Jeph Jerman, Thurston Moore, Sean Meehan, Tomas Korber, Greg Davis and Jonathan Kane, and currently works in an ongoing duo with Douglas McCombs (Brokeback, Tortoise). Daniell's compositional work utilizes displaced and abstracted field recordings juxtaposed with manipulated acoustic instruments and sounds of purely electronic origin, with great attention to sonic detail and aural depth-of-field, as captured in two solo albums, 2002's sem (Antiopic) and 2006's Coastal (Xeric/Table of the Elements). Recent compositions have incorporated a variety of acoustic instruments in larger ensemble settings. One such work, Sunfish (for twelve to fifteen musicians), was recently performed at the Fugue State Festival in Chicago (June 2007) and the X Avant Festival in Toronto (September 2007).

A PROPOS DE RIEN

RIEN: formation post-rock composée de (aka), dj goulag dos3, francis fruit & yugo solo. Né en 1999 au 102 morte en 2014 au Japon pendant les soldes.

RIEN was created in november 1999, on time to avoid the big bug of Y2K ! In that prospect, they played a twenty minutes shamanic show at the "102" during an "XXX" evening. Based in Grenoble, the four first-hour disciples (aka, dos.3, Dj Goulag and yugo solo) lived this first experience as a complete success (there was no bug at all) and reconsidered their split to finally reschedule it to the sales period in japan in 2014. In 2003, they recorded their first album "Requiem pour des baroqueux" which can be freely downloaded on their website www.amicale-underground.org Recently, their second album "there can't be any prediction without future" was released in France on their small structure l'Amicale Underground. Since this release, a new member, francis fruit, has joined the band to prevent him from joining the scientology scene and becoming pregnant in case he wouldn't play with RIEN. Today, they are still looking for a better "World Wide" distribution, don't hesitate to contact them, they love that !

A PROPOS DE SEIJI MURAYAMA

Né en 1957 à Nagasaki, Japon, percussionniste et batteur, Seijiro Murayama donne des concerts de musique improvisée depuis 1982.
Il a notamment joué avec Fred Frith, Tom Cora, Keiji Haino, KK Null en tournées aux Etats-Unis, en europe et au Japon.
Il a également travaillé avec les danseurs Mituyo Uesugi, Katjaé Fleig, Olivier Gelpe, Christine Burgos, Minoru Hideshima, Kazuo Ohno et les plasticiens Christophe Robin, Christophe Cardoen, Polska, Michel Vogel.
Depuis 1999 il travaille en France.
Actuellement il joue en solo. En duo avec Jean-Luc Guionnet (saxo alto), Eric Cordier (Vielle à Roue-Suture), Stéphane Rive (saxo soprano), Didier Aschour (Guitare, musique contemporaine), Pascal Battus (caisse-claire duo), KKnull (éléctronics-ANP) En trio avec Thierry Madiot (trombone basse etc), Pascal Battus (guitare environnée)-Lo, ou avec Marc Baron (saxo alto), Olivier Benoît (guitare éléctrique) En quartet (amplifié avec des micros aériens et contactes) avec Jean-Luc Guionnet (saxo alto), Quentin Dubost (guitare électrique), Loic Blairon (contrebasse).
En tant que compositeur-musicien il collabore à des créations pluridisciplinaires danse/théâtre/performances.
Il est actuellement artiste invité au Centre Chorégraphique de Rennes et de Bretagne par Catherine Diverrès.
Il collabore également avec Jean-Luc Nancy (philosophe) et Olivier Gallon (vidéaste) dans "Vénus et le joueur d'orgue", commande du Musée d'Art Modern et Contemporain de Strasbourg,, performance créée dans le cadre de "La Force de l'Art", Grand Palais (2006), et présentée ensuite au Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg en octobre 2006.
